A summons addressed to Samuel Street, Esquire, to appear as a Grand Juror at the District Court in the Town of Niagara, on August 16, [1819]. The summons is dated July 27, 1819 and is signed by Thomas Merritt, Sheriff. The summons reads “To Sameul Street, Esq. of the Township of Stamford: You are hereby Summoned and required to attend in you proper Person, as a Grand Juror, at a Court of Oyer and Terminer and General Gaol Delivery, and of Assize and Nisi Prius, which will to holden for this District, at the Court House, in the Town of Niagara, on Monday the sixteenth day of August at ten o’clock in the forenoon of the same day. Hereof fail not, as you will answer at your Peril. Sheriff’s Office, Niagara, 27th July 1819. Thos. Merritt Sheriff.”
