Abstract
Volumes of interest were published between 1812 and 1815 with articles about the War of 1812. Issue for July 12, 1813 includes news from the War of 1812 at Sackets Harbour, Albany, and Fort George (relating to the Battle of Beaver Dams)12 July 1813. Contains brief accounts of the Battle of Beaver Dams under the heading “From Fort George”. Another brief reference is made to the Battle of Beaver Dams, reporting that “The disagreeable, we had almost said disgraceful, news has reached this city from Fort George, in an authentic shape, we believe, of the capture of another detachment of our army, consisting of upwards of 500 men, under the command of Col. Boerstler, who was also taken. The particulars we have not heard”.
