Abstract
Volumes of interest were published between 1812 and 1815 with articles about the War of 1812. Issue for July 29, 1813 also includes a report of the Battle of Beaver Dams.Contains an article about the events immediately preceding the Battle of Beaver Dams, and a brief description of the battle itself. The article was taken from the Buffalo Gazette of June 29. Also includes a brief update on Fort George, stating “that our picket guard at Fort George were attacked on Saturday night last by the enemy, who were repulsed with loss—that the British army were supposed to lie within three miles of Newark, five sailed of their vessels were lying off Niagara—and that at Fort George everything was in complete preparation to give the enemy a hot reception.” Also contains a letter from someone at Newark describing the conditions there.
