      A map of the Niagara Frontier from Travels in Canada and the United States in 1816 and 1817 by Lieut. Francis Hall, 14th Light Dragoons, dated May 20, 1818. It depicts the Niagara Peninsula with communities, roads, creeks, and some topography features. The map was published by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, & Brown and engraved by Sidney Hall. Colour has been added to some portions of the map.

      Consists of correspondence between Martin “Bud” Walsh and his mother, during the time that Martin served in the Navy from 1942-1948. There are a total of 67 letters. Most of the letters are written by Martin, but there is one letter written by Gertrude Walsh to her son. Martin’s letters were mostly written from Montreal, although he also wrote letters from New York, Egypt, England, France, Halifax, St. John (New Brunswick), Norfolk (Virginia), Port-aux-basques (Newfoundland), and Aden (Yemen). The letters are addressed to Mrs. Frank Walsh in Welland, Ontario.

      The collection consists of two photo albums from Eureka Lodge #20, Prince Hall, Toronto, Ontario. The first album consists of 57 colour photographs of Black Shriners and Masons, some featuring a trip to Puerto Rico, circa 1970. Several loose items are enclosed, including photographs, news clippings, and a certificate. The second album contains 26 colour photographs, and 9 loose photographs, circa 1980. Includes photographs of Arthur Downes, one of Canada’s first Black Canadian Grand Masters and Joe Halstead (Order of Canada). Most of the photographs feature members in the lodge interior.
