The Press, Volume 14, Issue 14 includes: Results are in from the referendum on Press autonomy: of a total 883 ballots, 437 were ‘yes’ and 436 were ‘no,’ with 10 spoiled ballots; while this is a majority, it is not enough to represent the vision of the entire student body and thus will not go to the Board of Trustees, but Mike O’Bright and Press still consider it a victory; CUPE President Grace Hartman spoke at Brock University about the government’s restriction of labour movements and the problem with the media only covering bargaining processes in which strike action is imminent, and not on those that don’t reach confrontation, equalling about 98 per cent of agreements. Brock University is working on projects that will increase accessibility in the university, including building additional ramps and putting special parking spots into the lot; At Dalhousie University, a volleyball player has been cut from the team after refusing to cut his hair.Related items
