The presentation was presented at the 2024 Digital Pedagogies Instituteen_US
This presentation reports on the research study, which was an empirical investigation of the extent of General Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) usage, particularly technologies like ChatGPT, among postsecondary education (PSE) students at universities and colleges across the globe. Preliminary findings indicate a higher-than-expected adoption rate, challenging prevailing assumptions in the field and differences based on gender. Other connections (across levels of study and English as a primary language) are also presented, and their implications are discussed.en_US
