dc.description.abstractA muster role of the Third Regiment N.Y. State Artillery. The document reads “We the Subscribers do voluntarily enroll ourselves in the Company of the Said Regiment under the Command of William Swaim and do pledge Ourselves to obey him and others our Superior Officers to Conform to the Laws of the said State and the Bye Laws of the said Company”. The list contains three columns, for “Name”, “Residence”, and “Remarks”. A date is listed in the “Remarks” column. The first date listed is January 16, 1812 and the last date listed is March 23, 1814. The muster roll consists of two pages. The first page is large and is folded. There are 49 names on the list, including Willaim Swaim (Capt.); Saml. Smith (First Lieut.); James Whitlock (Second Lieut.); Wm.
