dc.descriptionGuido Pugliese (1940-2016) was an expert in Italian writers, poets and playwrights. He was born in Malito, Italy but moved to Toronto with his family in 1954. He studied Italian and English at the University of Toronto. He began his career at Brock University in 1968 and founded the Italian section of the Department of Romance Studies. Several years later he joined the University of Toronto in Mississauga (then known as Erindale College) to design academic programs for the large number of Italian immigrants to the city. He was also an active playwright and director, writing and directing numerous plays at the University of Toronto in Mississauga.en_US
dc.description.abstractContains 5 compact disks of interviews conducted by Guido Pugliese. There are 4 disks of interviews with Niagara Italian Club Representatives dated 1993. The other disk contains interviews with Joe Aceti and Anthony Mollica about theatrical and other cultural activities in the Niagara Region and is dated 1994.en_US
