Abstract
A collection of postcards and envelopes, some containing images from the Niagara area or Niagara-area postmarks. Some of the items are unrelated to Niagara. Niagara postcards, 1905-1913. There are 15 postcards of the Niagara region. The postcards include images of Hotel Bon-Air in Crystal Beach; the landing at Crystal Beach; the Rock of Ages below the American Falls; Niagara Falls in winter; Ice mound at Niagara Falls; the old Welland canal near St. Catharines; the Niagara River from Queenston Heights; Brock’s Monument; cascade near the spring, Goat Island; the Grand River and canal in Dunnville, Ont.; Fort Erie [ruins]; Niagara Falls from the American side [Terrapin Point]; motor boats at Whitehall Club, Niagara River, opposite Buffalo; and the upper steel arch bridge, Niagara Falls. The postcards all contain writing with stamps and postmarks. Niagara postmarks, 1904-1982. There are 22 envelopes and 13 postcards. The postmarks include Stamford and Stamford Centre; Welland; Sherkston; Port Colborne; Allanburg; Merritton; Virgil; Bridgeburg, Thorold, and Stevensville. Other postcards and envelopes, 1904-1911. There are 9 postcards and 3 envelopes. Postmarks include Toronto, Shipyards, and Black Creek, Ontario.Collections
