A letter from Ethelwyn Wetherald to Frank Page, 6 May n.d. Ethelwyn writes that "the checks came safely yesterday & Dorothy took them at once to deposit in the bank at Fenwick." She mentions that some of the money was from a Maple Leaf investment she believed "vanished". Ethelwyn also describes an accident her hand Ken had at the Atlas Steel Works in Welland, "a piece of steel slipped, one part hitting him in the pit of the stomach, the other making a deep wound just above the knee. He's been in the hospital for a week but is doing well." Ethelwyn also mentions the death of a neighbor, Sol Leppert, after an operation for appendicitis.en_US
