dc.description.abstractTwo military land grants, Sir Peregrine Maitland to Samuel Peters Jarvis of Captain Heward’s Flank Company in the 3rd York Regiment of York. The first grant is for 200 acres of land in Ekfrid Township, County of Middlesex, London District, 29 November 1827. The second grant is the same, except for 300 acres of land. Both grants signed by Maitland as Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada; William Beverly Robinson, Attorney General; Stephen Heward, Auditor General of Land Patents (Jarvis’ Captain during the War of 1812); and Duncan Cameron, Secretary. Both grants have a hard seal of Upper Canada attached.en_US
