dc.description.abstractA photograph of Samuel DeVeaux Woodruff (1894-1918) in uniform in a garden with a dog. In 1916, he was a Lieutenant in the 176th unit of the Queen’s Battalion. Samuel was engaged to Gladyse Wanita Palling, but they never married. He was killed in action on the July 13, 1918 as a member of the 116th Battalion of the Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment).en_US
