A letter from Ethelwyn Wetherald to the Page family, 1 January 1935. Ethelwyn wishes the family a Happy New Year and thanks them for a scarf received at Christmas. She quotes Emerson as she mentions her new years resolutions is "whenever a sad thought enters my mind, I will at once think of two things for which I am grateful. The other is that I'll write something every day. Even if it has to be revised & re-revised & then has to be discarded."
