A letter from Ethelwyn Wetherald to Mr. & Mrs. Page, 1 January 1933. The letter reads: "Dear Mr. & Mrs. Page - Your very kind remembrance gave me two kinds of pleasure - that of being in your thoughts at the Christmas season, & that of receiving exactly what I am always glad to have. So many people whom I know very slightly or not at all, send me cards or other gifts at this season, that I am especially thankful for the lovely note paper on which to write them each a personal message. We are all well here & enjoying the interchange of loving thoughts & gifts that Christmas always brings. The Chinese have a proverb: 'Every roof shelters some sorrow'. My wish for you & yours is 'may your roof prove an exception'. Ever your affectionate Ethelwyn Wetherald"
