The letterhead on the stationary reads “The Bishop of Alabama, Anniston”. The letter details Wilcox’s hardships, writing that “As a last resort I am writing to you…we are facing starvation—for the last 2 days we have had nothing but coffee and bread…both of us are suffering with cold and hunger, all I ask is some money to keep us from starving”.en_US
